An academic peer-reviewed journal BY the cyber threat community FOR the cyber threat community.
We encourage ALL threat intelligence and incident response professionals and researchers to contribute. We especially welcome those groups chronically underserved in the cybersecurity communities such as Women, LGBTQ+, members of any First Nations or indigenous communities, and others. We wish to support elevating their voices.
The primary purpose of this journal is to provide archived peer-reviewed practical knowledge which is easily referenced and shared through the future decades as the threat intelligence and incident response communities grow. We don’t have nearly enough professionals in these fields and one problem with onboarding and growing individuals is effective sharing knowledge. We wish to contribute to a solution to this problem.
This is NOT a research journal – articles must have direct practical applications immediately for the reader. Importantly, we also accept work “published” elsewhere including conference presentations, blogs, white papers, etc. and anywhere where full peer-review and long-term archiving was done.
Too often professionals learn unique tradecraft and analytic capabilities which they share at conferences or in blogs but that critical path of widespread sharing ends too quickly after the conference finishes or the blog isn’t shared any further. These are the pieces of critical professional information we must maintain for our professions to grow and improve.
This is the purpose of the Journal of Threat Intelligence and Incident Response (JTIIR).
The Journal is completely non-profit operated with donations and available for free to everyone. There is no cost to contribute, participate, or read the journal.
Want to help make this journal amazing for all? All you must do is contribute!
